Lightdancers developed their first firedance workshop in 2004 at The Mana Retreat Centre.

Their aim was to teach people of any age or background a safe and effective method for learning to firedance. The first workshop proved to be a tremendous success. Over the years, Lightdancers has honed and fine tuned this method. They have managed to encapsulate firedancing in a fun and inspiring workshop that is easy to learn!

Everything you need to know in an easy to understand, step by step program. This method has amazed both teachers and students with its great results.

rainbow poi making. We will show you how to create your own set of unique practice poi that you take anywhere.
poi time. Learn all the basics of firedancing with our fundamentals method so you can practise at home. This workshop is a great introduction and always lots of fun.
poi saturation. Saturate yourself with poi moves and possibilities. Perfect techniques and become firesafe and fire ready. (ideal for one or two day workshops).
fire time. After your training, experience an opportunity to spin real firepoi and other fire toys. (level appropriate).
firedancing. Fire performance by our expert teachers. (venue appropriate).
Our comprehensive one day workshop will teach you everything you need to know and includes poi making, poi time, poi saturation, fire time and a fire performance. Most of our students have felt confident enough to spin fire poi at the end of this class.
